Geothermal Energy

KFI is one of the nation’s leading designers of ground-coupled, closed-loop geothermal systems. Our engineers are members of the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association and have designed cutting-edge systems utilizing waste heat, slab heat, service water and refrigeration system condenser water heat to minimize energy costs.

We have designed systems utilizing both vertical and horizontal wells, depending on project needs. Not every project is suitable for geothermal application, and KFI has the experience necessary to apply the right test for suitability. We invite you to see our own deep-well geothermal system at our headquarters in St. Paul, Minn.
